About BitLife
BitLife gives you a person and asks: what do you do with them? Born in poverty in a random country with average stats, you start making choices — study harder, skip school, start a fight, take a job offer. Each choice shifts probabilities. Study hard and you qualify for university. Go to prison at 19 and your career options narrow significantly. Get rich and suddenly relationships work differently.
The game doesn’t moralize. You can live virtuously, become a crime boss, spend your whole life gambling, or get a stable government job and die unremarkably at 84. Every path is valid. Every life is a story, and most of them are funnier or sadder than you expected.
How to play
Each year, choose from available actions in categories like Education, Occupation, Love, Crime, and Mind & Body. Some events are random — illness, accidents, inheritances. React to them. Age your character year by year until they die, then start a new life.
Tips & Tricks
High intelligence early (from studying) opens more career paths. Even if you don’t want a traditional career, the options are useful.
Some of the best stories come from low-stats characters. Playing a person with poor health and low smarts creates different constraints and different outcomes than an optimal character.
The crime path is high-risk, high-reward. Going to prison once is survivable; getting caught repeatedly tanks your reputation permanently.
