About Vex 6
Vex 6 is a precision platformer about a stickman who cannot catch a break. Spikes, saws, crumbling floors, crushing blocks — the acts pile on new hazards while demanding tighter and tighter timing. The movement system is the reason people keep coming back: wall jumps, slides, and momentum that rewards smooth inputs over button mashing.
Each act is a self-contained gauntlet. Work through the main path, die repeatedly, find the rhythm, finish clean. There are also challenge levels for people who found the main acts too easy — and there are people who find the main acts too easy.
How to play
Move with WASD or arrow keys. Jump with W or Up. Wall jump by pressing into a wall and hitting jump. Slide down walls to control your descent. Duck under low obstacles with S or Down.
The key is reading ahead. You die fastest when you’re reacting instead of anticipating. Watch where the moving platforms and saw blades are in their cycle before you commit.
Tips & Tricks
Wall jumps are your most important tool. Most of the acts are designed around them — if you’re struggling on a vertical section, the intended solution is almost certainly a wall chain.
When you die repeatedly to the same obstacle, back up and try a different entry angle. Often there’s a cleaner line that makes the jump obvious rather than barely possible.
The challenge stars in each act are optional but worth going for once you know the level. They’re hidden in places that require reading the geometry differently.
